No, KotC Recreational Series by INSAND is an OPEN event. Each night after 3 rounds of competition, the top 5 teams will compete for places 1 - 5 and the bottom 5 will compete for places 6-10.

No, you can sign up with a different partner every week. You will earn points each week and those points will stay with you, not the team.

There are 6 total rounds with a 12-minute countdown clock.
At Least 3 teams are needed to complete a round.
There are 2 divisions (Women’s and Men’s)
Each Division will cap at 10 teams
Each Division will be divided into 2 groups of 5 at the onset
Each team will be assigned a specific colored armband. It is essential that each player wears the armband throughout the entire competition as this is how we will keep track of the score.
There will be no eliminations during the first 3 (12-minute) rounds. A Golden Ball is earned by the team with the highest points at the end of the first 3 rounds.
A “Golden Ball” may be used to replay a point. 1 Golden Ball may be used per round.
Players will play for a total of 12 minutes, then be off for 12 mins with a 3 Minute transition period in between all of the rounds.
Draw cards will be used to determine kingside, serving side, 1st team waiting, 2nd team waiting, 3rd team waiting
Points can only be earned on the KING side
In the event of a tie, the team with the longest consecutive streak on the KING side will break the tie

Click the link above during open registration time blocks. Participation in a Friday night event is $40 per player. A one-time registration fee of $25 will be applied for each players first event.

Online registration opens on MONDAY, the week of the event and closes WEDNESDAY, or when the event is filled up.

We will play through winds, but in the event of rain - there is a possibility the event will be rescheduled.

If a team misses the first round, they start the next round with -3 points

Yes, each team will have referee responsibilities during one round of competition per night of competition.

Yes, the catch and clean will not be legal in this event.

Points are given to individuals; however, championship signup/seedings are based on team points

If there is a tie at the end of the round, the tiebreaker goes to the team with the longest run on the kingside (If that’s also the same then it’s the longest run on the king's side for the whole tournament).

The top ten (10) teams with the highest combined points will qualify for the Championship Event.

Championship brackets will be posted by Thursday at 10 am. Teams will be seeded based on their combined points.
The competition format will be the same as the preliminary events.
The Championship event points will be weighted (1.5x)

Points are awarded to individuals at the end of each series
At the end of the 5 series, individuals will sign up with a partner to compete in the championships
The top 10 teams for each gender will be selected based on the highest combined points
Team points during championship sign-ups are based off individual top 3 finishes.

If you qualify for the final event, there will be no cost.

Each event will have a series winner per gender.
At the conclusion of the final event, there will be a Crown Champ (the player/s who have, in aggregate, earned the most total points over the entire series).
